Castle Hyundai Oak Lawn Supports Covington Elementary Teachers Through Castle Cares
On Thursday, August 20th, our team at Castle Hyundai Oak Lawn visited Covington Elementary School to deliver classroom supplies through our Castle Cares initiative. We supported 20 teachers by purchasing selected items directly from their Amazon classroom wish lists.
The wish lists included a variety of school supplies and classroom materials teachers had chosen as they prepared for the new school year. Our team was proud to contribute items that would be useful throughout the school year and help teachers get their classrooms ready for students.
Supporting Covington Elementary Teachers
We understand how difficult and costly it can be to prepare a classroom for the school year. Preparing for a new school year involves much more than setting up desks and decorating classrooms. Teachers spend time organizing materials, preparing lessons, and making sure their classrooms are ready before students arrive.
For this event, Castle Hyundai Oak Lawn focused on the individual wish lists created by Covington Elementary teachers. This gave our team an opportunity to contribute to several classrooms across the school.
Supplies Chosen by the Teachers
Each teacher’s Amazon wish list included supplies and materials selected for their own classroom. By purchasing directly from those lists, our team was able to contribute items that teachers had already identified as useful for the upcoming school year.
It was great to see all of the supplies come together before delivering them directly to Covington Elementary.
A Full-Circle Moment for Our Team
The visit to Covington Elementary also had a personal connection for our team at Castle Hyundai Oak Lawn.
Many of our employees are local and grew up in the surrounding area, so returning to a neighborhood school to give back felt like a full-circle moment for the team. Oak Lawn is a community many of our employees know well, which made the visit especially meaningful.
For our team, this was about more than dropping off supplies. It was a chance to return to the community we are part of and do something useful for teachers preparing for another school year.
Castle Cares in the Oak Lawn Community
Through Castle Cares, our dealerships actively look for opportunities to support the communities around us. This time, that meant helping teachers at Covington Elementary with supplies they had already identified for their classrooms.
We would like to thank Covington Elementary School for welcoming our team and giving us the opportunity to support 20 of its teachers.
