It also offers 139 combined horsepower, a 6-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission and an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 594 miles. For drivers focused on fuel economy, the Elantra Hybrid is the most efficient Hyundai hybrid available.

The Sonata Hybrid gives drivers a larger midsize sedan while still offering strong fuel economy. The Sonata Hybrid Blue is rated at up to 47 city, 56 highway and 51 combined MPG, while other trims offer up to 47 combined MPG.
It produces 192 combined horsepower and has an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 673 miles, the longest of any Hyundai hybrid. Its combination of passenger space, fuel economy and driving range makes it worth comparing for drivers with longer commutes.

The Tucson Hybrid gives shoppers a compact SUV option with improved fuel economy, useful cargo space and available HTRAC All-Wheel Drive.
It produces 231 combined horsepower and offers EPA estimates of up to 38 combined MPG, the best of any Hyundai hybrid SUV, with an estimated driving range of up to 520 miles. Available HTRAC All-Wheel Drive can provide additional traction during snow, rain and changing road conditions around Oak Lawn.

The Tucson Plug-in Hybrid is Hyundai’s plug-in hybrid SUV, with a larger battery that can be charged at home or at a compatible charging station. It offers an EPA-estimated 32 miles of all-electric range and 77 MPGe.
The Tucson Plug-in Hybrid also comes standard with HTRAC All-Wheel Drive and produces 268 combined horsepower. Once the battery’s electric range is depleted, the vehicle continues operating as a hybrid.

The Santa Fe Hybrid adds three-row seating while offering EPA estimates of up to 36 combined MPG with front-wheel drive and 35 combined MPG with HTRAC All-Wheel Drive.
It produces 231 combined horsepower and offers an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 637 miles. With three rows of seating and available HTRAC AWD, the Santa Fe Hybrid gives families more passenger space while maintaining strong fuel economy.

EPA estimates reach up to 34 combined MPG with front-wheel drive and 30 combined MPG with available HTRAC All-Wheel Drive. The Palisade Hybrid also offers an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 619 miles.
For shoppers who need three rows and additional passenger space, the Palisade Hybrid gives them another option to compare alongside the Santa Fe Hybrid.

A Hyundai hybrid recharges its battery while you drive using the gas engine and energy recovered during braking. You do not need to plug it in, and you fill the vehicle with gas the same way you would a traditional gas-powered model.
A plug-in hybrid such as the Tucson Plug-in Hybrid has a larger battery that can be charged using an outlet or compatible charger. This allows some shorter trips to be completed using electric power before the vehicle begins operating as a hybrid.
If you have access to charging and most of your daily driving involves shorter trips, a plug-in hybrid may be worth considering. If you drive longer distances or do not regularly have access to a charger, a standard hybrid may make more sense.
You can compare both options at Castle Hyundai Oak Lawn and decide which setup makes more sense for your driving.
